Rachel is a hospital-trained nurse. She initially trained as a psychiatric nurse and then as an obstetric and general nurse. She has had an extensive career in nursing, with periods in pharmaceutical/medical consumables, primary health care and nursing education. She holds an MBA from the University of Auckland. More recently, she has worked as a senior nurse at both the New Zealand Blood Service and Middlemore Hospital. Rachel is excited to join the team at Blood Cancer NZ. She wants to make a difference in the lives of those facing blood cancers and those of their whānau.
