Post-treatment online workshop

A 6-week programme for Kiwis who have finished blood cancer treatment

Blood Cancer NZ’s post-treatment online workshop is for people with a blood cancer who have completed treatment over the past year – often referred to as the ‘survivorship’ phase.

The workshop runs for six weeks with a one-hour Zoom session each week. The workshop will be repeated every quarter. It’s designed to help you navigate life after treatment, build practical knowledge, and connect with others who relate to your experience.

What we’ll cover:

  • Nutrition to support recovery (eating well to rebuild strength and energy after treatment)
  • Fatigue reduction & exercise (strategies to manage fatigue and effective exercise)
  • Psychological wellbeing (coping with uncertainty and fear of recurrence)
  • Self-empowerment and ongoing care (monitoring, managing side effects and transition to primary health care)
  • Redefining ‘normal’ (finding a new sense of self and life beyond treatment)

By registering, we hope you’ll join us for all six sessions, allowing you to build knowledge while connecting with others for peer support.
