Northern Region - Auckland/Northland/Taranaki

Welcome to 2026 from the Auckland/Northland/Taranaki Team, and a warm Happy New Year!

As we look back on the end of 2025, we loved connecting with so many of you at Christmas gatherings across the region—from Kaitaia to Pukekohe and Taranaki. It’s always a privilege to share these moments with you.

The Auckland/Northland/Taranaki team are based in our Auckland office- Tim (Starship and private clinics, full time), Natasha (Counties and Northland, full time), Annette (North Shore and Taranaki, Mon–Wed), Rachel (Auckland Central and West, Tue–Thu-Fri), and Sharon (team support).

What’s on?

We welcome you to join one of our many Auckland support groups we host in Orewa, Takapuna, Epsom, Henderson, Manukau, Howick, and Pukekohe, along with the Auckland Myeloma Group and the Waiheke Island Group.

In Northland, we host groups in Whangarei, Dargaville, Kerikeri, and Kaitaia.

Our Taranaki support groups continue to run alternate months.

Each group has its own mailing list, and you’re welcome to join more than one. You can adjust your subscriptions at any time by contacting us directly.

Age‑Specific Groups

In Auckland, we run age‑specific groups designed to support children and young people.

Super Kids’ Club: For paediatric haematology patients.
Kids’ Club: For children who have a family member living with a haematology condition.

Both clubs are facilitated by a play therapist and offer in‑person and online sessions that blend therapeutic support with fun, engaging activities.

Specialist Groups

We’ll continue to run our specialist support groups in Auckland, including the Māori and Pasifika Support Group and the Chinese‑Speaking Group.

We are also partnering with Look Good Feel Better to host a women’s makeup and skincare session in the first half of the year. If you’re interested in this or any of our groups, please let us know so we can send you an invitation.

We are also working alongside the physiotherapists at Motutapu Ward (Auckland Hospital) to deliver a physio group every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am in the Blood Cancer Support and Wellness Room. Come along and enjoy what we like to call the best coffee in Auckland.

We are aware that some of you will be dealing with significant challenges at this time. Please remember we are available to offer one‑to‑one support, a listening ear, and practical assistance whenever you need it.

Take care, and please reach out as you need.
